Edit & transition
Every change you make in Task Hub is a normal Jira update. It’s saved straight to the work item, shows in its history and triggers your automation rules, just like an edit in Jira.
Open a work item
Section titled “Open a work item”Click a card, row or calendar item to open the issue editor beside the view. From there you can edit the summary, description, fields and comments without leaving the Task Hub.
Quick actions
Section titled “Quick actions”Right-click any work item, or use its ••• menu, to:
- Assign it to someone
- change its priority or work item type
- edit its labels
- flag it, with an optional comment
- create a subtask
- link it to another work item
- add a comment
- delete it, if your Jira permissions allow
Transitions
Section titled “Transitions”When you move a work item to a new status, by dragging a card or changing the Status field, Task Hub runs the workflow transition:
- If several transitions lead to the target column, you choose one.
- If the transition has a screen, you fill in the required fields, such as a resolution, before it completes.
- If the workflow doesn’t allow the move, nothing changes and Task Hub tells you why.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Task Hub only lets you do what Jira lets you do. If you can’t edit, transition or delete a work item in Jira, you can’t in Task Hub either.
