Migrate from Data Center
Atlassian is ending support for Data Center products in March 2029. If you use Task Hub for Jira Data Center, the app’s board configuration can move to Cloud along with your spaces.
What migrates
Section titled “What migrates”When you migrate spaces with the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA), Task Hub migrates each board’s:
- name and scope
- columns and status mapping, with WIP limits
- swimlanes, custom groups and the default grouping
- quick filters
- card layout, card colors and label colors
- access level and roles
User accounts, groups, statuses, priorities, work item types and custom fields are mapped to their new Cloud IDs automatically.
How to migrate
Section titled “How to migrate”- Install Task Hub for Jira on your Cloud site, before you migrate.
- Make sure the Data Center app is on its latest version.
- In JCMA, on the Apps step, set Task Hub to Needed in cloud and agree to the app migration.
- Run your migration as usual. Task Hub’s data is transferred as part of it.
- Open a migrated space in Cloud and check its Task Hubs.
What’s different in Cloud
Section titled “What’s different in Cloud”Cloud Task Hubs add the List, Calendar, Timeline and Summary views, cross-space scopes, the dashboard gadget and Excel export. Some Data Center-only behaviour might differ slightly. If something didn’t come across as you expected, contact support with the space key and board name.
